The 7 Best Wines for an Adult Halloween Party
Make no bones about it! We have compiled seven of the best red and white wines (with Halloween-themed names, of course!) that you and your guests will enjoy at your adult Halloween party. These wines can be found here or in wine stores. Most bottles on this list are priced below $20.00.
Chronic Cellars Purple Paradise
Chronic Cellars Purple Paradise - The Beckett brothers grew up in a Paso Robles wine family and learned from the ground up what it takes to make a decent bottle of wine. They formed Chronic Cellars to make, in their words, serious wines for people who don’t take themselves too seriously.
Purple Paradise is a red blend of 79% Zinfandel, 11% Petite Sirah, 6% Syrah and 4% Grenache. With aromas of dark fruit and leather the wine has tastes of cherries, chocolate and vanilla. All Chronic wines have frightfully designed labels.
Ghost Pines Chardonnay
Ghost Pines Chardonnay – Embracing the spirit of California wine making, the wines produced by Ghost Pines are inspired by the gray pines growing free-form throughout Northern California. The grapes used to produce Ghost Pines wines are selected from some of the best California regions. Ghost Pines Chardonnay grapes come from the Monterey County, Sonoma County and Napa County appellations. The result is a fresh, fruit-forward wine with notes of lemon, pear and delicate spice with a vanilla smooth finish.
In addition to Chardonnay, Ghost Pines produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel and a Red Blend.
Apothic Crush Smooth Red Blend
Apothic Crush Smooth Red Blend - Apothic wines from California are always crowd pleasers. This smooth red blend consists of Petite Sirah, Zinfandel and Pinot Noir. Aromas of chocolate fudge cake with tastes of ripe red cherries and plums. A food-friendly wine.
Phantom Red by Bogle
Phantom Red by Bogle - The Phantom series of wine from Bogle is a California red blend consisting of 42% Petite Sirah, 34% Zinfandel, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot. The Phantom, according to the winemakers, is a mysterious apparition of ripe berry and spice that is destined to haunt wine lovers.
The blend has tastes of berries and black pepper with notes of oak and vanilla. Phantom also produces a wickedly delicious Chardonnay.
Poizin Zinfandel -They call it the wine to die for! Produced by Armida Wines, this 90% Zinfandel 10% Petite Sirah wine from the Dry Creek, California region is a full-bodied red with aromas of plum and smoky oak. The taste has notes of blackberry jam and black pepper spice. This wine is always a hit at adult Halloween parties.

This California red wine has aromas of dark fruit and tobacco with rich fruit, chocolate flavors and a dry finish. This well-balanced wine can be enjoyed with or without food while you raise a spellbound glass to the Halloween moon!
Vampire California Merlot
Vampire California Merlot - This Merlot from Napa, California is a medium-bodied red wine with aromas of black cherry and spice with tastes of toasted oak and vanilla. Who could resist a smooth wine like this with such an incredible Halloween-appropriate label?
If Merlot isn’t on your party wine list, check out the other varietals from Vampire including Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, a juicy Red Blend and Chardonnay.
