Mt. Beautiful Sauvignon Blanc
Mt. Beautiful Sauvignon Blanc is produced in New Zealand in North Canterbury on the South Island. It's a lesser-known New Zealand wine region but starting to gain recognition. There are a range of soils and climates throughout the area and thus, a range of wine styles and characteristics.
The 2017 Mt. Beautiful Sauvignon Blanc (13% alc.) is pale yellow in the glass. There are strong aromas of kiwi and melon on the nose. There are tastes of lemon and grapefruit citrus, grass and minerals. The finish is long, acidic and dry. This is a refreshing wine perfect for warm weather sipping.
Food pairings
This wine pairs well with shellfish, light pasta dishes and fresh salad greens.
