When we lived in New England many years ago, it was an annual fall tradition to head to a local apple orchard to buy fresh apples. Nothing tasted better! However, I had never tasted apple cider doughnuts until a visit to New Hampshire a few years ago. Mark, our brother in law, took us to an apple orchard and bought a dozen of these tangy, sweet, sugary treats. Although I generally stay away from donuts, I have to admit, these had me hooked!
