Wine Review - Educated Guess Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Educated Guess 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon was purchased based on...an educated guess. I was searching for a Cabernet to serve with beef tenderloin for an upcoming dinner party. The label intrigued me and when I read that it was a Napa Cab, I decided I couldn't go wrong. I'm glad my 'educated guess' was correct - this is a great Cabernet for the price.

Sheehan Winery is located in the Vecinos del Bosque area of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Winemaker/owner Sean Sheehan originally set out to become a doctor, but his underlying passion for wine eventually took over. In 2015 he started Sheehan Winery after a decade of working as a winemaker for other New Mexican wineries. Sheehan is a small batch producer of wines of character, layers and depth. His 2017 Chambourcin “Elyce Vineyard” is no exception.
