Peltier Winery & Vineyards is located in Lodi, California. This California wine region is home to multi-generational viticulturists who have farmed and produced quality grapes for decades. Many of these growers, like Peltier founder Rodney Schatz, started growing grapes for bulk wine producing operations. Over time, Schatz and his wife Gayla began to produce wines under their own label. They practice sustainable farming.
This is an unoaked-style Chardonnay with a small amount of Vermentino and Sauvignon Blanc blended in. The color is straw yellow in the glass with aromas of grass, pineapple and minerals. It is smooth on the palate with a slightly acidic finish.
It's a refreshing Chardonnay and easy to drink with or without food. This is a small lot wine with only 1,088 cases produced.
